Advantages of Natural Products
1) You know what ingredients are in the products.
In most cases, all of the ingredients are listed on the label. Most of the ingredients are simple and easy to understand, unlike the lengthy chemical names listed on many bath products. Our handmade soap contains only olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, natural essence and grapefruit seed extract which is used as a preservative.
2) All of the ingredients have known effects which are mild and gentle.
The properties of olive oil are well known for its antioxidant properties and beneficial moisturizing of the skin. The benefits of olive oil prodcuts have been well documented through the ages.
Coconut oil also has moisturizing properties and helps to give the handmade soap that wonderful lather. It absorbs easily but with no greasy feeling.
Palm oil adds hardness to the handmade soap. When palm oil is used in conjunction with coconut oil, it helps to moisturize and produce a long lasting handmade soap.
Natural plant essences known for their aromatherapy are added to the handmade soap. Many different variations of essences combine to give the soap unique and aromatic properties. Each variety comes from a distillation process of natural plant properties. We use only essences which have no phlthaltes.
3) The soap is made in small batches with careful supervision.
Making soap is an art which takes time and patience to produce a natural product. Each batch is made from scratch, carefully measured, stirred to trace and the final essence added. Then, it is poured into two molds which hold only 18 bars at a time. It takes 3 to 4 weeks for the chemical process called saponification to completely finish, producing handmade soap which is ready for use.
4) Natural products remain affordable.
Although the ingredients are more expensive and the time required to produce the soap is more extensive, handmade natural soap remains an affordable product. The benefits of a natural product far outweigh the small additional price. Organic beauty products are still a very good value.
